Only Way to 'Vairagya' - The State of Absolute Renunciation

Ever cropping desires and relentless pursuits to satisfy them.

Many wins and many losses, like a never finishing roller coaster ride....

When a mortal soul wears out due to these never ending and seemingly everlasting cycles, it eventually seeks to retreat and develops a tendency to withdraw..., thus naturally slipping into a state of ‘Vairagya’.

All other pursuits of renunciation are mere imitations, only driven by the force of desire, thus bounding oneself well within the realms of Maya.

Consequence of Human Acumen

The fear of death or extinction is so compelling for the life it forced even humans, with distinct acumen, to innovate mostly towards sustenance.

Since their acumen is so uncommon and powerful, it obviously leads to wild increase in their numbers causing imbalances within the nature. These imbalances in turn provide stimuli leaving the human kind busy perhaps meaninglessly forever. Interestingly, during the gaps of apparent win over the nature, the life’s inability to stand still has only persisted in continuous interaction with its surroundings leading to nothing but mere indulgence.

Some for some unknown reason, particularly those who are either not moved due to the threat of extinction or not just interested in their mere sustenance, have utilized the same powerful acumen to keenly observe the wonder of their own existence, an awakening towards their surroundings; intrigue themselves about the apparent gap between them and their environment.

While some among them discovered ‘the continuum’ between them and their environment (leading to the concept of non-duality – ‘Advaitha’) the others have lingered with the gap (leading to the concepts of duality - ‘Dvaitha’).

Either way both concluded the meaninglessness of constant ping pong with The Nature and sought for total dissolution into or oneness with it.

Creativity - Art - Society - Religion

At novice levels, creativity dwells in the ability to stretch ones imagination, perhaps to the most extreme levels.

However, the ultimate objective of creativity, especially resulting in so called ‘Art’, which is always accompanied with the urge to express, would be to device a way to transfer, in true sense, the perspective of the beholder, the ‘Artist’.

Then the debate arises, should the intellect of just an artist be left to influence the society in the name of so called ‘freedom of expression’?

As of now, and for millions of past eras, it seems the nature has caused the spectrum of creative ability among artists and spectrum of intellectuality among artists, only cris-crossed at totally arbitrary points. As a result, societies seem to experience very intermittent trends of both evolution and devolution.

No wonder, many religions of the world are so vary while promoting art.
